Letlapa Mphahlele was born in 1960 in Limpopo. As a youth he was active in student politics but left to join the PAC in 1980 while receiving military training. He was abducted from Lesotho in December 1995 and charged with terrorism but the charges were withdrawn in 2002. In 2006 he was elected as the president of the PAC. (PAC media office)
