The Freedom Front Plus was founded under the leadership of General Constand Viljoen in 1994. The party currently holds four seats in Parliament, and received 0.89% of the votes in the 2004 elections. The party strongly believes in protecting the rights of minority groups and supports the right to self-determination. The FF+ has decisively piloted actions to protect Afrikaner interests.
